Hello!
Got some problems with appetizer in Windows Vista sp1 (x64), and Windows 7 RC (build #7100).
First of all, "Special items" not working correctly, instead of showing the correct windows, some of them shows "this computer".

Summary for Vista:
Control Panel - Works!
My Computer - Works!
My Network Places - Shows "My Computer"
Recycle Bin - Shows "My Computer"
Show desktop - Works!
Windows Explorer - Works, Shows, Windows Explorer Username\Documents
Search - Works!
Prinsters and Faxes - Shows "My Computer"
Network Connections - Works!

Summary for Windows 7:
Control Panel - Works!
My Computer - Works!
My Network Places - Shows "My Computer"
Recycle Bin - Shows "My Computer"
Show desktop - Works!
Windows Explorer - Works, Shows, Windows Explorer Libary
Search - Don't open anything!
Prinsters and Faxes - Shows "My Computer"
Network Connections - Works!

The second problem is that the icons in the "ad special item" menu shows up as very bad in Vista,
but works fine in XP (reported) and Windows 7! (see Vista / Win7 images to compare)

Windows 7:

Thanks for the detailed report! I will only fully support Windows 7 when it's released but it's still useful to know what's working and not working, and glad to hear that the icon display issue fixed itself.

Regarding Vista, I've just found this article which describes the list of commands, so I'm going to use it to fix the shortcuts. Here in particular are the three commands that are not working:

Network: explorer.exe shell:NetworkPlacesFolder
Recycle bin: explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder
Printer: explorer.exe shell:PrintersFolder

That's actually much simpler than on XP.

Regarding the icons on Vista, since I don't have Vista, it's going to be difficult to fix the issue, unless somebody can tell me the proper icon IDs. I think MS messed up the icon order on Vista and fixed it back on Windows 7.

Otherwise, I'm thinking about embedding some icons specifically for Vista to go around the display issue.

Just realised i maby done a mistake with the screenshots, The Vista one is in Windows Classic and the Windows 7 is in AERO.
Ill check the if theres any differ in AERO / Classic for win7 and Vista and get right back to you here! :)

Edit: same thing in aero / classic

I guess embeddin would be a good ide, because i also think ms messed them up.

looks like the "looking glass" is pretty low resulution and corrupted in some way.
Btw!, in that dialogue "choose icon" im able to hold CTRL and choose more then one icon
or hold SHIFT and choose them all from top to bottom, i think it would be suitable if
it's just possible to choose one at the time, not several icons.

Well guess what im back again!
46 weeks later and problem is still here!

This is how the icons looks in Windows 7 (#7600 ) & Appetizer_1.4.7.508
